  • The Requirements for Baptism:

    1. Repentance and fruits worthy of it.

    2. Belief in the Gospel.

    3. A willingness to be publicly identified with Christ, in His death and resurrection, and with His People no matter the cost.

    (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-17, Luke 3:3-16, Luke 24:46-49, Acts 2:37-41, Acts 8:12, Acts 8:30-40, Acts 9:15-19, 1Corinthians 12, Romans 6, Ephesians 4:1-6, Colossians 2:6-15, Titus 3:4-6, 1 Peter 3:18-22)

  • Here are the steps:

    1. Fill out the membership form and drop it in the Offering Box or email it to (wasco.cc.pastor@gmail.com).

    2. Our elders will set up a membership meeting with you and your family.

    3. The elders will present your membership request at the next elder meeting for approval.

    4. The elders will schedule a Sunday for you to come forward and be officially recognized as a member of Wasco Community Church and to take your vows (see below).

    Membership Vows

    1. Have you acknowledged yourself to be a sinner in need of the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ?

    2. Have you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting and resting in Him alone, as He was offered in the gospel? Have you been baptized in accordance with His Word?

    3. Are you resolute, in humble reliance upon the help of God, in endeavoring daily to live as a follower of Christ?

    4. Do you promise to support this church in its worship and work? Do you promise to submit yourself to the government and discipline of this church, pursuing its purity and peace?

    When these vows are taken, the congregation will respond with “Amen” when they are asked:
    “As a congregation of Christ, do you receive [this Christian/these Christians] into the covenant fellowship of this local church together with you, renewing your membership vows as you do so?”

    Individuals are eligible for membership at Wasco Community Church if they meet the requirements for membership.

    The Requirements for Membership:

    1. Be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

    2. Submit yourself to the infallible authority of the Scriptures. (Acts 2:42, 2 Tim. 3:14–17)

    3. Submit yourself to the fallible leadership of the church as they are in submission to the Scriptures. (Hebrews 13:7, 17)

    4. Love one another as Christ has loved you (dying on the cross). (John 13:34–35)

    5. Serve one another with the gifts, abilities, resources, and time God has given you. (Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4; 5:18–21; Colossians 3:1–17)

    6. Do you understand and accept the process of church discipline as described in Matthew 18:15–17, 1 Corinthians 5, and Galatians 6:1–5? And are you willing to receive and participate in such discipline if and when necessary?

  • The Requirements for Administrative Council(Deacons/Deaconess):

    1. Be a member of Wasco Community Church for at least one year.(1Tim 5:22)


    2. Meet all biblical requirements to be a deacon/deaconess(Matthew 20:25-28, Acts 6:1-7, 1Timothy 3:8-14, Philippians 1:1 John 12:26 Romans 16:1)

    3. Affirm and be able to clearly articulate the mission, statement of faith, and core principles of Wasco Community Church.(1 Corinthians 1:10, 2Timothy 2)

  • The Requirements for Eldership:

    1. Be baptized in the Name of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.(Matthew 28:18-20)

    2. Must affirm our constitution and by laws and statement of faith(1Corinthians 1:10)

    3. Must fulfill all biblical requirements for an elder. Note: Bishop/Elder/Shepherd/Pastor/Overseer are all seen as one and the same Role/Position/ Office.(Jeremiah 23, Ezekiel 33,34 John 10:1-21, Acts 6:1-7, Acts20:17-38, I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, I Peter 5:1-4 etc…)

  • The Requirements for Volunteers:

    1. Loves Jesus: Demonstrates a personal faith and commitment to Christian beliefs and strives to live consistent with Biblical principles and moral integrity

    2. Willingness to serve: Shows care, compassion, and a desire to help others and grow the mission of the church.

    3. Cultivates Excellence: Strives for high standards in their work and interactions through practicing their gifts and talents to glorify God.
